Phoenix Jano--Livingston, Texas

Coming soon to Livingston, Texas. We are so pleased to welcome Phoenix Jano to our team of Rocks. Soon rural LGBTQ+ kids in her area will be getting the support they need. Phoenix's pronouns are She/Her.

Phoenix grew up in a deeply conservative Christian environment that caused her to repress and attempt to alter who she was. It took her decades to accept herself and truly begin healing. When she learned about I’ll Be Your Rock from Christine Terpening, she felt a strong desire to be a part of helping to support and care for LGBTQ teens and felt a drive to see a chapter set up in her own area of Livingston, TX. “I know that kids going through adverse circumstances have better outcomes when they have even one adult in their life who cares and gives support.”

To contact Phoenix, please email at greendragoninn42@gmail.com

Jason Wood-- Middleville, Michigan

Jason Wood is a mental health advocate, author, and speaker. His own experience with the pain and loneliness of homophobia fuels his mission to help others realize they are never alone. Jason strives to be the umbrella during the storm and the rainbow after it for everyone he meets. Having just moved to Michigan with his husband and their two pups, he is excited at the opportunity to build a safe and supportive community for the LGBTQ+ youth of Middleville.
